Congratulations Year 12 2015

Congratulations to our Year 12 HSC students on their excellent results. Jake Boyce has been listed in the ‘All-rounder Achievers List', achieving 5 Band 6s (90 or over), coming 10th in the state in Engineering Studies and achieving 100% in Mathematics Extension 1.Jake, Mitchell Burton and Blake Charman are on the Distinguished Achievers List, recognising those who achieve more than one band 6. Adam wins gold in the Surf Lifesaving Championships

Heathcote High School would like to congratulate Adam Newey (Year 10) on his great achievement at the NSW Surf Lifesaving Interbranch Championships at Forster last weekend. Adam won gold the u/17s Beach Sprint and he finished second in the Beach Flags event. The Interbranch Carnival is a collection of the best athletes in the each NSW Branch. Applications for student travel 2016

From 2 November 2015, a new online SSTS application process is being introduced for schools within the Opal network, coinciding with the introduction of the School Opal card. Schools outside the Opal network should continue to process the existing blue SSTS application forms and send them to the appropriate transport operators. Most parents, guardians and students won't need to apply for a school travel pass for 2016 if they have already been given a school student travel pass for the current year. 2016 school funding allocations

All NSW public schools are currently being advised of their 2016 Resource Allocation Model (RAM) funding. RAM distributes funding based on individual needs of students and schools, and gives schools greater flexibility to make financial decisions. The way schools use their RAM funding will vary based on local needs. Some support will be for the entire school, and some will be for particular groups of students or individual students. HHS Science Team visits Helensburgh Primary School

Heathcote High visits Helensburgh PS during Science Week On Tuesday 18th August, four members of the Heathcote High School Science Team visited Helensburgh Primary School to assist with Science Week activities.Experiments related to density, the creation of gases and the microscopic world of living things were investigated. Our team consisted of Year 8 students Jessica Laarakkers, Kathryn Deverson, Jesse Smith and Benjamin Spowart. Once again, these students impressed with their scientific expertise and enthusiasm. BYOD 2016 Information Night

Heathcote High School is excited to announce the expansion of the BYOD program for Year 7 & 8 students attending Heathcote High School in 2016. BYOD is an initiative that will allow students who have personal technology devices to bring them to school to use them for educational purposes to meet their learning needs under the direction of a teacher. HHS Boccia Champions 2015

The Boys Win Again! The HHS Boccia team has won at Regional level for the 4th year running! The boys now go onto Homebush for the State finals. Bailey Ferguson, an original team member, captained the side. His team mates this year were Chris Piesse and Jake Babbages (it was their second year playing) and Tristan Tuck, the newest member of the team, who has picked up the game very quickly. The boys played with such sportsmanship that the referee commented to the other schools present what a fine example they set. We are very proud of these boys... Read more

Metalwork Students Win Top Awards

Congratulations to Year 12 Student Jesse Shafer who took out first prize in the Senior Secondary category of the "National Metalwork Sculpture of the Year" awards. Free Workshops for the Parents of Learner Drivers

To help parents in supervising learner drivers the Roads and Maritime Services (formally the RTA) has set up free two-hour workshops for parents that offer practical advice on how to help learner drivers become safer drivers.
