Science Shows 2017

On Wednesday 8th March, the students from Heathcote East Primary School visited Heathcote High School for the HHS Science Show. On the day, we ran two shows, one for K-3 students and the other for Years 4-6. Science teacher, Mr Geoff Thorncarft, runs these hour-long demonstrations that are based on the science of Liquid Nitrogen, one of the coldest substances known.

Students explored changes of state and how solids, liquids and gases change when rapidly heated and cooled. Expansion, contraction and air pressure were also explored in this interactive hour of science in action, where audience members are encouraged to participate. Throughout the year, we will also be running age specific shows for our Years 7-10 students.
