Industrial Arts Report
The action has started early for us in the Industrial Arts Deportment this year. Students are designing, developing and beginning construction on their projects. The Year 12 students are beginning the construction of their major projects which accounts for 60% of their final HSC mark.
Junior classes are enjoying the experience of learning in a workshop environment with the array of different sounds, smells, tools and processes.
We are excited to introduce a new addition to the faculty for the year. Mr Tscounnis brings a great level of knowledge and experience in graphics and timber and we look forward to his contribution over the coming year.
Last year's HSC results were outstanding. Five band six results with a large number of high band five results were a credit to both the students and the teaching staff.
A new acquisition of a CNC engraver for studies the Metalwork area was delivered at the start of this year and we are excited to see how this new piece of technology will change the projects in VET Metals and Engineering, Industrial Technology Metals and Art Metals / Silver Jewellery.
